Meet The Pastor

Bishop Joel Njoku, the Snr. Pastor of City of David Tabernacle located presently in Annapolis, Maryland, USA was born and raised in Nigeria, West Africa. He is the second generation of a preaching family from both father’s and mother’s side. His parents, late Rev. Andrew & Cecilia Njoku, and late uncle Rev. Joseph Omereonye were renowned preachers of the gospel in Assemblies of God, Nigeria for decades. He has been ministering and served in different capacities in different local churches for over 25 years.
Bishop Njoku was trained in ministry at Rhema Bible Training College, Tulsa, Oklahoma under Kenneth E. Hagin; also at Oral Robert University School 0f Ministry. He also holds a degree in Business Administration and International Marketing.

As a preacher of the Word, Bishop Joel Njoku has traveled wide both in the United States and overseas preaching the Word with amazing miracles, signs and wonders following his ministry. He preaches the Word with power, an incredible wealth of knowledge from God’s word and with a strong prophetic anointing. He is also a prayer warrior. His heartbeat is to raise people in their callings and equip them with the tools for ministry.

 Rev. Francesca Njoku Andrew is the prime example of a devoted spiritual-minded believer who taught her children the ways of the Lord.  It was this example of discipleship that lead her to receive Christ at the age of 16.  Rev. Francesca graduated from Nursing School and she excelled at it. She works side by side with her husband Pastor Joel Njoku Andrew.

As a psalmist, his passion for gospel music (inherited from his mother fondly called “the singing bird” from her peers), has made him a celebrated and an accomplished recording artiste with 9 albums released to the glory of God from whom all blessings flow and has also featured as a guest artiste in numerous albums. He is the President of Lily Music Company.
Bishop Njoku is a man with a mission; his passion is the glory of God through worship; his ministry is restoration, healing and deliverance to the dying world.
Bishop is married to Francisca Njoku, and they are graced with three children: Jennifer, Franklin and Amarachi–Queen Esther.
